Remember love notes....

This lovely sentimental oldie is still popular among beach music fans. Knowing that I like the song, a boyfriend once sent me a love note with just a few words: "I love you 1000 times." I couldn't help myself; I asked if he'd be willing to write that 1000 times.

I always thought it was terrible that the Platter's records on the Musicor label never got the same airplay as their earlier stuff. I can see why the Beach Music community holds them so dear.

This was recorded some time after Sonny Turner replaced Tony Williams as the lead singer. The Platters were one of Daddy's favorites.

Lately, when I think of music, I think of you and yours. I have enjoyed your posts and your website so much. Thank you 1000 times.

I really AM bad at seeing a reply at work in my e-mail, saying I'll post back when I get home and then never doing it.
