Black Swallowtail Butterflies love parsley

I just posted about this on the gardening blog, but I decided to post it here, too. If you see these guys on your herbs, don't harm them; they're Black Swallowtail Butterfly caterpillars. These caterpillars got the name parsley worms because they love parsley. Dill is also a favorite. Plant some herbs for the butterflies! LOL between you and my daughter, she wants me to leave the rabbit alone, and you want me to plant food for catepillars, LOL Churchill used to have a large butterfly garden, so I guess great minds think alike.

Actually, the best I've ever heard is a friend of mine's brother who opened the door wearing nothing but a pentagram and holding a cat in one hand and a knife in the other. He said, "I'm kind of busy right now, is this important?" He then looked at them closely and asked, "You wouldn't happen to be a virgin would you?"

That was supposed to go in the one about Jehova's Witness.

I did think that was an extreme reaction to caterpillars on the parsley.

You never know. Caterpillars on parsley can be so annoying sometimes. If left unchecked, they can end up as butterflies. And THAT leads to Imperial princesses seducing their husbands in deep forest ponds.
