Hospitals hire people with few qualifications and very little training for low paying jobs that bring them into direct contact with vulnerable people, then act surprised when things like this happen. People who cry openly at the death of a celebrity don't bat an eye over the abuse of people with disabilities. Celebrities, after all, are front page news, but this story was found in the back of the local section, where many shameful things reside.

I would hate to see what these people did that they have no proof of.
I have seen lots of stories like these, it's sad that no one has really done anything about it. There should be laws that cover employees of medical facilities. Credit checks, background checks.....sad that they have to be told to do that tho.

I hope to never have to put anyone I love in to one of those places because all I would do is worry all the time.

That is shameful that these people did this. I really hate how people treat and view the disabled. I even hate the word disabled because it implies that they are unable to function. Yes some may need help but that does not mean they can not be a part of society and contribute to it in their own way.
