Pre-sunrise service

We had our night before Sunrise Service party last night. The tradition got started because there are those of us who have no intention of getting up before sunrise. We have some spiritual talk, share memories, and drink ice tea. There are no zealots allowed. It's a pleasant way to spend an evening.

My early to rise friends tell me that we missed a killer Baptist breakfast-you know that Baptists bring food to all events.

Some of us did get up REALLY early one year to drive to Old Salem for a Moravian Sunrise Service at God's Acre. It was beautiful. We went to a Love Feast at Christmas one year and enjoyed it. Didn't have to get up early!
